Just saw that famous scene on TV.
Learned something.
I'll see if anyone else caught it.

2. Clark Gable as Rhett Butler
and it was, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."

My ATF movie - watch it at least once a year.

3. You Don't Know?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0031381/quotes

Scarlett: Oh, Rhett!

Scarlett: Rhett!

Scarlett: Rhett, Rhett!

Scarlett: Rhett ... if you go, where shall I go, what shall I do?

Rhett Butler: Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.

6. Bingo. "Frankly, MY DEAR..."
The tag line is always "Frankly Scarlett..."
If Miz t. and I are talking about something that just doesn't matter, all one of us has to say is "Frankly, Scarlett..."

Kind of like "Play it again, Sam", which Rick never said.

9. Our memories often twist reality to suit our needs.
No harm is usually intended, it's the message that's important.

10. 'If she can stand it, I can.
Play it!"

For all the memorable lines in "Casablanca," I think most people miss the best one. It's my favorite, anyway (Rick to Ilsa):

Who are you really, and what were you before? What did you do and what did you think, huh?

5. Clark Gable. In the book, Rhett did not say "frankly."

16. The original quote was from John Smith.
After Frank Scarlett refused to go hunting with him. John got captured by Indians, met Pocahontas, came back with her. Frank said "I'm sorry. But I did stay true to you when George Percy wanted me." Thus the quote.
