A nice christian pervert!!
So, I get this "hello" on this dating site I'm on. And thanks to the miracle of Google, I type in his username. And Voila!! This guy calls himself a christian and says he's looking for a christian lady (BTW, I'm an athiest). So, the sites that pop up with his username are all these really smutty dating/sex sites and even a fetish site. Oh, yes. He likes to dominate among other things. He's also on some christian dating sites.

Now, being the good athiest that I am, I am so tempted to send him a little note calling him on his wholesome christian beliefs. Perhaps, asking him if gawd knows what he's up to. And does he think gawd will think that's ok and still whisk him up to heaven?

Am I being overly ????something???? I'm certainly no prude. Doesn't this seem awfully hypocritical or something? I really have a problem with so-called religious people relying on their religion to "save" them from all their nasty sins.

Just want some opinions here. What would YOU do????

You'll be happy to know he's in your state! :wow:

He's nothing you would want to look at for any length of time!

2. And your point is?
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 07:58 PM by qnr
Sorry, I'm a little cynical about the matter, seeing way too many of these religious hypocrites, it is beginning to appear almost natural.

I don't think that saying anything to him would make a whit of difference to him. Just get it off your chest here.

Edit: typo

5. No, there's nothing wrong with anything
that two people agree to. Good lawd, I've been known to... never mind. It was just the hypocrisy of it all.

6. eh, nothing hypocritical about it unless he's actually said he condems it
Many christian couples I know (granted they're not fundies) are pretty open about this stuff.

7. I'm a Christian but one of the more open ones.
We all know that I'm not preachy and that I don't look down on others yet I'm into some things that "normal" adults would cringe at.
Of course, I wouldn't be looking for partners on Christian dating sites(fundie crap). I just replied to your post because you understand that most Christians are not fundies and that we are not hypocrites (thank you!).:hi:

8. I'm down with pretty much all faiths
As long as they respect me. Liberal Christianity appeals to me...too bad the message has been convoluted by fundies :(

10. I am too.
And it is upsetting that the fundies have hijacked the faith. It's sad when someone asks me about religion and I state "I'm a Christian but not a fundamentalist. I won't preach at you and I won't judge you so don't worry."
And someday I'd love to sit down w/ Rev Cheesehead and talk about how to take our faith back from those who would demonize it.

11. Thank YOU, xmas74
I certainly didn't mean to lump every christian into the same category. Perhaps it was just the blatant trolling for sex that bothered me. And, it only bothered me because he called himself a christian. It was a knee jerk reaction. I practically had online sex with someone else I met so, I'm certainly not one to judge someone's sexual preferences. Yes, I admit, I don't know all that much about different religions and I apologize for my stupidity.

I'm all recovered now! Thank you.

9. It's entirely possible that he posts on the Christian dating services...
...and looks for Christian women because they're easier to dominate. It may have nothing to do with his own personal beliefs, but posting there may allow him to indulge his fetishes in a more satisfying way.

It's easy to dominate someone out of fear. After all, true submissives have the power in a dominant/submissive relationship and he may not get off on that.

12. Exactly.
He probably wants to dominate out of fear, not out of pleasure. And the subs do have the ultimate power in the relationship. They decide early on how far they are willing to go and it is the dom's job to stay w/in the boundaries.
This type of relationship has to be very open to communication from the beginning. If it isn't it will never work.

14. But that is the way a true relationship of that nature does work.
Subs have all the power and they know it. This guy probably wants someone to push around instead of an equal partner, like a dom/sub would be.

16. Didn't mean to make you blush....
But that's the way those arrangements work.

Check out the movie Secretary to see how a relationship like this functions.

If you're interested of course.

19. Maybe he trolls the christian boards because he knows...
... that's where all the freaks are :P.

All that sexual repression tends to get people a little interested in kink.
