How late does UPS deliver?
Edited on Thu Dec-22-05 05:47 PM by johnnie
I paid 15 bucks for them to deliver me something by today and it hasn't shown yet. I haven't done anything all day to make sure I didn't miss them and it almost 6. I pretty much wasted the day.

1. Two things: 1)Check the tracking, and 2)isn't there a money back
guarantee?

The tracking should tell you how close to you its gotten, anyway, and if you call UPS right now they should be able to issue you a refund or tell you how to get one--if indeed they aren't delivering at this time.

That sucks, sorry.

4. It was a check through Fidelity
That's my retirement fund. I had them send me a check and they said they could have it here by today if I paid the 15 bucks. I didn't get a tracking number.

7. Hmm. There's a tracking number somewhere, but seems like too much
trouble to call Fidelity, wait on the phone, etc. etc.

Sorry your whole day's been spent waiting for the man, LOL.

2. It's the rush. I worked a Christmas rush as a runner one year.
Notice, I didn't say two years. Right now they still probably have another third of the packages left, and are either getting them delivered as fast as possible or meeting to share the loads.

I would stop waiting at 9:30. Really. I stayed out that late on my driver's route when it got really close to Christmas.

I just wanted ot get some last minute stuff done before the weekend, but I have tomorrow off also. I just have to cram it into one day instead of two.

6. I remember getting some later in the past
I just didn't remember how late. If i knew they would just drop it off, then I would have been able to do my thang, but I didn't want to miss them.

8. I remember asking the driver once. He told me they deliver until
the truck is empty. So it could be a few more hours.

9. Thanks
I guess I have no other choice but to wait. I hope they didn't lose it.

13. This time of year they deliver quite late. I've seen UPS trucks
in this neighborhood at 9pm.

Mail sometimes comes late this time of year too. Our mail, normally delivered around noon-ish, came at 5:15 this afternoon.

14. Hi johnnie
don't despair. I saw a UPS guy in the grocery store parking lot at 6 or 7 last night...
I agree with the above posters-they'll probably come through for you.

But if it was me, I'd call anyway!

16. I'd wait until 10 or so
We just chased down our driver to get a Next Day Air package out tonight instead of tomorrow (12/24 combined with Sat. delivery makes me nervous). It's 5:08 here and we just got it out the door. And the driver told us he still has at least 3-1/2 hours of deliveries to make.
