They guy who printed the books was impressed, too, and he's a guy who is not exactly lavish with compliments...he said they were the best photographs he'd had to work with in twenty-five years of printing.

Of course, that book being a Labor Of Love, the pictures got sweated and slaved over until they were perfect. So happy you liked them.

Bare bones explanation: I did the typography and layout of a community cookbook for the 100th anniversary of the library in the small Vermont town where I grew up, and offered to send DU a dollar for every DU member who ordered one. It's a very nice book, with some (if I may say so) very nice photography as well, courtesy of yours truly.

If you want to order a copy, you can go to http://balchlibrary.home.att.net and download an order form.

Put "DU member" at the bottom of the order form, and I'll add a buck to the total; a promise is a promise after all, and I never break mine.

You have showed me compassion, understanding and friendship when I most needed it and during some of the darkest times of my life.
