Work is quiet today. Have a customer sitting in the reading room. I print catalog cards while listening to Mozart. Just had an American here who looked for a bookstore with books by Goethe in English.

I'm glad you're having a quiet day! You what would be a lot of fun? You are sitting at your desk working on your catalog cards as usual...an American guy walks up to you and asks if you know where all the works by Shakespere in english are located. You look up and he has a huge grin on his face. You point and tell him exactly where to find them, but he just stands there looking at you with this big smile. You smile back...wondering what is wrong this guy. Then he says: "Hello, Miss Honey" :rofl:

In April I will go with my mom and her bf to Prague. Can't wait to go there again. Haven't been since I was a kid. Prague is such a beautiful old town. Just breathtaking.

Yes, I'm VERY excited! :bounce: It's not often that I get a weekend off! I'm sorry you have to work the whole weekend. I surely know what THAT feels like. Coldplay is one of my all time favorite bands! I love Clocks, The Scientist, Fix You, Square One...they're all fantastic!

9. Yeah, but it's the weekend job

It definitely won't be a repeat of last night. I was doing my first set of rounds and got to one of the houses to discover one of the guys had an unauthorized houseguest, past curfew--and the guest was stoned out of his gourd. So there's three rules broken right from the get go. I inform the client that he needs to ask his guest to leave, which he does. So the guest takes his sweet time putting on his numerous layers of sweatshirts and jackets, all the time verbally abusing me for having the audacity to do my job.

Now all I have to look forward to is getting beat up by 5-foot tall women.

25. Yeah, it's kind of funny at times

Most of the time it doesn't really hurt, but sometimes they can really pack a whallop. One of the ladies knows how to smack me on the back just the right way that it really stings. And she also knows that if slapping or pushing doesn't work, then pinching will get instant results. Of course most people would be like, "Why the bleep don't you just get away?", which makes sense, but when I'm dressing or showering somebody it's just not possible to do so. :shrug:

I downloaded a load of stuff yesterday - mostly Mozart (they had an offer on as it's the 350 anniversary of his birth), so some of that is likely to go on.

My biggest problem with downloads is that one doesn't get that much variety - apart from the Paert (which you didn't like at all) I haven't downloaded any modern stuff. Thankfully I've got a semi-decent C.D. collection to get things from.

My cable modem has been having "packet loss" problems of late and it takes me 20 minutes to get it back up and running. x( That's what just happened to me a few minutes ago.
