You are either a mainiac by birth (and that takes a 'coupole' of generations) OR you want to hide. This is definitely a good place to do it. I could hide away here in my place for years and no one would be the wiser. They'd see Phil coming and going and think he was an eccentric loner for not having a woman. But that's about it. No one would dare question him. Not even his best friends.
Mainers care about their neighbors but respect their privacy even more.

But... if your house was burning down and I ran out to console you with arms held wide, would you turn away?
