I'm going to tell on the assumption others will share their most embarrassing too...

Its not that I smoke a lot of the finer substances, but maybe a little too much anyway.

I manage a store in a big shopping mall that also contains a grocery store. Often, in the mornings, I'll lock up and walk to that store to buy a power bar or something, and a diet soda with caffeine. This morning it was chillier than it had been in days, and I decided to drive to the store instead.

Well, I had my caffeine and my power bar, got a little wound up, did some work, and waited for the next nine hours to pass. Finally, it is time to go! I walk outside, on time for a change, and head toward the parking lot. My car's not there. What? It was locked, I had the keys, and I had a view of the parking lot all day. My car was gone. Damn.

I called a co-worker leaving a nearby store to come and get me. I went to the shop next door, we're friendly, called from my cell phone the police to report my car stolen. This lady and I, while on hold with the police, walked out to the spot I unusually park in, looking for broken glass or something - anything. There was only a grocery store receipt rocking back and forth in the breeze. We headed back for the store, as something clicked with me. Police on hold, business neighbor at my side, and I realized I had driven to the store, but walked back (as I almost always do).

Yikes.

Now you gotta tell me yours.

1. that was kinda confusing
with all those stores.

Last line needs to be "I had driven to the grocery store, but walked back (as I almost always do)" Otherwise, it sounds like you had driven to the store you manage, and then walked back. And I'm like, okay, where's your car?

Anyway, mine is kinda silly, but in my 2nd grade picture, it looks like I am looking at the legs of the little girl sitting next to me (which is, of course, quite possible, and highly likely) Anyway, there it was, in the class picture.

2. I was announcing a HS rodeo once
when I was a sophomore, because I was hurt and couldn't compete at the time. Well, anyway, one of my friends and this one good looking girl were out in the arena tending to some goats during the goat tying competition. Well, I was teasing my friend over the mike and I started to tease the girl too, except I called her the wrong name. I mentioned the name of another girl competitor and I looked like a total dumbass. It still makes me cringe to this day.
