To explain to newbies, ATA (Ask the Administrators) is a now defunct forum where you could post questions to the admins. There were some legitimate concerns raised there, but some of the funniest threads could be found there too.

Some questions were just dumb - A 'How do I start a thread?' thread. Some questions were just silly - 'Have you seen my keys?'

I started ATA Redux in the Lounge for fun, and all the admins decided to come out and play.

Not an attack, but as I believe the person using that handle was honestly describing life events very painful for him and asking sincerely for advice from the DU community, I have to say that I am very sad people are mocking him in any form. After a really rough day at work I started a thread titled "Man wanted: Apply inside." Inside I had a short list of things this man must do: kill spiders, open jars, mow the lawn etc. It was on that thread that I met Scubadude (formerly ChicagoDem)- a poster from the early days of DU.
