Sorry to beat this to Death....F*CK MAYTAG and the horse they rode in on.
Would you believe they cancelled my service appt. for today? Because the tech is sick? Would you believe I transfered 3 $300 appraisal jobs to make room for them to come out today? That translates to $900 of income lost this week. :grr: Would you believe they did this last time? Would you believe that I've been on hold with them for an hour waiting to get scheduled, because I told them either find another Tech to come out today or I'm contacting a lawyer? Would you believe that the service of Maytag is about the worst that I have ever experienced? Scratch that...It is the worst. Nothing comes close. :argh: :argh: :argh:

1. Well, they only have the one tech.
I hear he's a pretty lonely guy. ;-)

6. We need to get our house appraised,
Edited on Thu Mar-02-06 09:52 AM by 4morewars
We are refinancing, and we are in Michigan. I'd rather give the job to a good Dem.
PM me, at least the day won't be a total wash !

Edited to add, No pun intended !

7. Ah. Sounds lucrative. I am actually thinking of changing jobs and
taking a pay CUT. There is a job that I know of that I interned in that I KNOW is more fun (and WAY less stressful) than my current job. If there is an opening near the end of the year, I am applying ...

9. It is a good job that allows for a lot of flexibility.
Good luck with the more interesting job. To me, it's more important to work stress free...as long as the bills are covered. :hi:

5. Would've been cheaper to buy a new one!
And maybe some $ left over from the $900.

What's frustrating is paying more for the brand name and getting the quality of a lower priced brand.

Didn't some other company recently buy out Maytag?

:-(

11. It's crazy. You would think for a thousand dollars we would have
gotten a decent machine. Neptune is all hype. MrG has wanted to just throw it in and get a new one. We should have gone with the GE we were leaning toward. :(

We've had a Neptune for about five years, but that was back before Maytag was bought out. MsW, however, would agree with you. She's often said if she had it to do over again, she'd probably go with the Swedish one.

I guess she means the washer!! ;-)

8. Just get a new machine from a different make
if they are costing you that much money and you are still no closer to resolving the issue, and by the sounds of it these machines are extremely unreliable, so how confident can you be that the thing will not break again within another year?

You've been on hold for an HOUR? This company obviously has no intention of providing any aftercare to its customers. Get off the phone to them and call your lawyer instead.

12. They said the would "call back".
Ha. I am leaning toward just saying "screw it". What we were planning on doing was leaving the set when we sold the house, sometime this year, and starting fresh in a new house. :hi:

14. Does your machine make a knocking sound?
I own a Maytag Neptune washing machine and it has been making a knocking sound lately. Is this what your machine is doing? I'm curious if this is a problem with front loading machines.

16. crappy appliances
My brother bought a refrigerator 6 months ago and the compressor bite the big one 2 weeks ago. Between waiting for parts and scheduling the service call they've been living out of a cooler ever since. Never again.

A warranty?? if not call Sears they will repair any appliance. I bought a front loading Kenmore this year and love it! Of course with Kenmore you never know what company will be making it, so far so good. knock on wood!

22. That is ridiculous.
I can't believe the shitty customer service some companies still get away with. I've had bad experiences with Qwest (our local phone service provider) and The GAP, of all places.
