But the dead turkey was a display turkey...it was never eaten.

2. What is the deal with the turkey, semi-seriously?
The one in front, I mean. It seems like the perfect sort of lame, stuffingless (so to speak) "issue" that TV "journalists" like to wrap their tiny minds around. I mean could this be the beginning of the end? Will we be having chaotic news conferences with journalists shouting questions at Scott McClellan about what material the bird was made of, who made it, when did the president know about, etc.?
