1. Really nice!
Thank you for sharing these. Have you ever considered to build a japanese styled pond there? I'd be digging in a heartbeat! ;)

4. if I owned the place I would already have one
and a Japanese style outbuilding to use as a dojang.

But alas, I rent.

8. We'll try
to enlarge our Koi pond next year, since it was once big enough for the little Kois we had, but they have outgrown the pond quickly. And, you know, having all these books on Japanese gardens doesn't really help to not dream ...

5. wow
For how long did you put in all that time???

You musta wanted to pave it or let it go wild at one moment or two.

Glad you're riding in style now.

6. two summers
Edited on Mon May-01-06 11:31 AM by BigMcLargehuge
when the second (third hand) walk behind went to appliance heaven I broke down and got a rider. That was two years ago. so I did the walk behind thing for two years.

I killed the first mower doing the whole yard in one 11 hour marathon on a saturday before I had a big family reuinion here. The heat cracked the block.

I killed the second doing two five hour marathons which heat treated the top part of the engine and shattered it.

7. I officially commend you for
your determination, fortitude, and sticktoitiveness regarding lawn care.

Though bewary of "the revenge of the lawn." Those blades of grass can get nastily dicey over night.

9. Free advice
you didn't need to mow the house. That could have saved you a lot of time right there.
