I took a Pregnancy Test today
It was positive.

Oh boy! I'm 34 and scared to death. I'm also so very happy. I always wanted to have a baby, so wish me luck.

Also, does anyone know a good way to let the hubby know?? I was thinking of Sunday (Mother's Day). It is a little cliche', but what the heck huh??

Sorry I sounded so harsh, but I usually treat everyone on DU like I treat my best friends. I'm honest and when they need a swift kick in the tail, it's usually me that does it.
It is truly great news.

25. Sunday is my birthday. Uh, about that...
May 14th isn't the greatest day to have been born, IMHO. It's also not going to be the nicest day in the history of America, methinks. Neither is Monday. You should do what you want, but--meh. May 16th would be a much better "announcement" day.

29. Um, hon...new carriers headed for the Gulf. Bush in the '20s.
Rove (and god knows how many others) on the ropes. Right this very second, it's a toss up as to whether or not we're going to have any nuclear action in Iran. By Sunday, it could be sordid.

Hey, know what, RockaFowler? Why don't you tell that domestic partner of yours your good news this minute or later tonight! That way, in case all hell breaks loose over the weekend, you'll have such a nice "before" memory.

And congrats again. Not trying to be a downer in your baby thread, just tossing out some updates regarding current events to those who don't like to leave the Lounge so much.

26. When I tested positive for my second baby...
I left the test with the mail for my husband to find.

He didn't go for the mail like he usually did. I had
to keep asking him: "Anything in the mail"?

When he finally looked through it, he got a BIG
surprise.

Good luck with the pregnancy, though I can't imagine telling strangers on DU before your own husband!

Just tell him as soon as you can.

Both of you catch up on your sleep now, and just stay calm the next year to 18 months... you'll both often be tired and it will be easier to lose your temper or get stressed out when you're run down.

I told my husband I was pregnant visually.

Have you seen those cheesy looking t-shirts that read baby with an arrow pointing down to the tummy?

I did that except I skipped the t-shirt & wrote it on my skin with edible body paint. I then stood in front of the t.v. & flashed him.
