Hmmm I am a little perturbed by possible freakdom, do you do this?
When I have music on, like when I am posting on DU, I open both Media Player and Realplayer so I can listen to two songs at once, one on top of the other. I find it quite easy to listen to both separately simultaneously, even while writing or thinking.... I just realised that I am the only person I know who does this, so I am little worried that I am a freak....

Do you listen to two songs at once?
Do you consider this abnormal?

Enquiring minds must know!

For diagnostic purposes anyway.

5. I used to turn on Mtv and watch it with my own music in the background...
I'd mute the TeeVee.

So, in short, yes, you are a freak.

22. That's how I realized The Wizard of Oz and Pink Floyd connection.
"Dark Side of The Moon" is said to be an alternative theme
music for Wizard of Oz.

I figured that out long before there was an Mtv or Internet.

Just me, my music, and a VHS of WoO.

Pink Floyd denies it... But, I noticed it right away when I
was listening to DSOTM one day.

27. Over the years I've noticed it on other movie/music pairings...
So, I don't think it was deliberate.

What is important is the movie has a similar rhythm in it's
score to the rhythm on an album.

12. Unless they're perfectly beatmatched, that would drive me insane...
Conflicting rhythms and tempos. And the jumble of lyrics, as well. You're crazy, dude.

It's a feature of Intel's Pentium 4 processors whereby the processor can process two operations at a time, as though it were two separate processors.

29. Not on the computer, but at live venues...
There's a place here with live bluegrass. The best part is that a whole bunch of impromptu bands are jamming at the same time in different parts of the facility. While I haven't visited lately, my favorite thing used to be to find a position where I could listen to two or three bands at the same time. So I wouldn't say that you're abnormal.
(When I was young, I used to read Time magazine from cover to cover while singing along to songs on the stereo and watching tv without missing a word from any of these. Probably how I blew out my brain.)

30. Don't know, now I'll have to try it.

But I can listen to music inside my head and tinker with it there... like listen to just the vocals, or just the percussion... or change the voice, like take a Diana Ross song with the same backup singers, but replace Diana with Ethel Merman singing the lead... goofy stuff like that.

Oh, and I can speak about one topic while writing about another. But I've done it only for short periods of time. And the writing slows down somewhat.
