Do you have aches or pains? Do you have leg cramps?
This is no joke. Drink Nestles 100% Cherry juice. My husband and I started drinking it and it has done wonders for us. I read about it in a health and nutrition book I purchased in GNC store. It really works. It tastes good too. Give it a try,it's worth getting rid of the aches and pains. I wanted to share this with DU,because I have turned this on to family and friends and they all love it. I pay $2.08 for a 46 oz. bottle. I can't tell you enough how thankful I am to have found it.Cheers! :toast:

4. Or Get it At Trader Joe's
Cheaper, and cherry juice concentrate. It's a traditional cure for arthritis (and yummy, too).

5. Very well could be that it works for the same reason bannanas do
Bannanas naturally contain a good quantity of potassium, a vital ingredient in preventing muscle cramps and overall health. Could be that the Nestles drink contains potassium:shrug:

Given that I prefer as few processed foods as possible, and that I'm not a fan of Nestles anyway, I think I'll stick with banannas. But hey, thanks for the tip:toast:

7. I've actually heard that cherries have some property that is helpful in
that regard. You don't need any specific brand of cherries or juice to get the effect, though.

Of course, they didn't do a thing for Zachary Taylor!!! http://www.doctorzebra.com/prez/z_x12final_illness_g.htm

Here is a chronology of Taylor's final illness, taken from <2h> unless noted otherwise:
July 4 morning Taylor attended a Sunday school recital.
About this time, ate several green apples.

July 4 afternoon Sat in blistering hot heat during ceremony at Washington Monument.
Afterwards, took extended walk along the Potomac River.
Arrived back at White House very thirsty and hungry.
Ate large amounts of raw fruit, said to be cherries.
Drank great deal of cold water and milk.

July 4 dinner Drank a great deal of cold liquids.
Ate a considerable amount of cherries.
Admonished by his physician for both.
Soon after dinner, developed abdominal discomfort, nausea, cramps.

July 4 night Spent an uncomfortable night.
Apparently not ill enough to alarm anyone.

July 5 Alexander Wotherspoon called to White House.
His diagnosis: cholera morbus (see comments at end).
Treatment: calomel and opium relieved discomfort somewhat.
Intermittent fever.
Great thirst: ate ice.

July 8 Depressed. Predicts his own death.
Dystentery appears.
Vomiting worsens.

July 9 Worse.
5 pm Barely alive.
Treatment: bleeding and blistering.
10:35 pm Dies.

10. Yikes!
That's terrible. That had to been from the consumtion of all things he ate and drank combined. I don't think drinking a glass of cherry juice a day will kill you. LOL

16. They suspect, actually, that the cherries were chilled on some
nastyass ice that had e-coli or somesuch in it.

9. Something else you have to do
Boycott aspartame (the artificial sweetner), if you are using it. I used to drink gallons of diet soda (I'm a diabetic) and I was having brutal pains in the joints that would keep me up all night. Started reading about aspartame (banned in Europe, by the way) and found it was in EVERYTHING, and it causes all kinds of physical problems for people.

Now I avoid it like the plague (scouring the stores for Splenda) and the aching joints are gone.

12. Not to mention moodswings
I had a doctor tell me to stay away from aspartame because it is a tremendous depressant!

14. Thank you for the information
I had to quit drinking soda because it was killing me. I didn't know about the aspartame, though. I thought it was the carbonation that was doing it. I gained a bunch of weight from drinking so much diet pepsi. I got hooked on it and it's been hell for me since I quit drinking it. I crave it like a person with a drug addiction. It's awful.

13. that's cool i found an article confirming it as well
SIDEBAR:

Functional Foods

Some foods can feed your joints and some can hurt them. “Foods with omega-3 oils have been shown to help reduce inflammation, which should certainly decrease joint pain,” says Heidi Reichenberger, MS RD, spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, “while omega-6s (the oils most common in the typical American diet) tend to have a negative effect.”

Foods high in omega-3 oils include salmon, walnuts, flax, soy, olive and canola oils, and avocado. You might also consider a cod liver oil supplement. Avoid overindulging in foods containing omega-6 oils, especially margarine, fried foods and baked goods.

More studies are needed, but research reported in the Journal of Natural Products suggests drinking a glass of tart cherry juice can help defuse arthritis pain. Researchers from Michigan State University found anthocyanins, the chemicals that make cherries red, may have more powerful anti-inflammatory effects than aspirin. Tart cherries also have antioxidant properties, which destroy the damaging molecules thought to contribute to arthritis.
