Poll question: Sonic Drive-In - what's the deal?
I went to Sonic for the first time last week and I was, very sadly, unimpressed. I really wanted to like them since they give $$ to the Dems. Maybe this poll will help them become better. Post suggestions if you have them.

2. I really really want to love them, but...
I thought everything was kinda bland, including the tots.

They have cool old car nights near us and I'd love to go more often.

6. Honestly, I thought it seemed like frozen food just heated.
Maybe I caught them on a bad day??

And maybe it is just frozen food heated up, but it shouldn't taste like that.

4. Get the fountain drinks.
That's the best thing about Sonic. I happen to be quite the fan of a lemon-lime diet Coke or a fresh-brewed iced tea w/ lemon and lime wedges.

The burgers are just ok, the other food is pretty decent, but the tater tots are sublime.

The cherry slush is good too.

Crap...I'm hungry now.

and there are four Sonics within a couple miles of me......I'm thinking large order of tots (with enough cheese that by the time I get home I can pick the hole pile up in one mass) with a huge cherry slush. YUM!!

11. Main thang: It's a drive-in.
Not too many of those any more.
Drive-throughs, but not drive-ins with car-hops.
The locals, where they still exist, are usually better than the Sonics.

The international headquarters is about mile from my front door, down in Bricktown in Oklahoma City. I love their fountain drinks. They have the BEST ICE.

my name actually has nothing to do with Nepalese food, or any other food. It's momo as in the Modern Movement of architecture.

18. I voted "never been there and never will" only because
I am a vegetarian, so I don't eat burgers. There is a Sonic right down the street from my office, but since I don't eat burgers I have never had a desire to go there.

Almost as much as I miss Whataburger and Schlotsky's...

... and Luther's BBQ...

... and Treeebeard's...

... and Popeye's...

Dang! you made me miss Texas all over again!

21. Give them another chance :)
I love Sonic. Outside of in-n-out (which is nowhere near here) it's probably my favorite burger chain ... that said, though, I do get the occasional mediocre burger there. I wish you better luck the next time around :)

24. Sonic is one of the few
Fast food restaurants I still attend (Note not very often though . . .)

I enjoy them for the chili dogs and their desserts. Not to mention I loved to get a coke with a vanilla add in.

And a Route 44 cherry limeade on a hot summer day is perfect.

hoagies, and brilliant pizza to clog MY arteries....

I do seek out "In-and-Out" when I'm in CA or AZ....
