And do you? And how often?
I have been out of work for 5 years (except a brief 3 month stint at a call center) and while our money issues have eased up a little, I need to work.
I started a temp job on Tuesday doing data entry. It's not very interesting (and the commute really sucks) but I will get 15.00/hr for doing it (which again is not a lot but is something).
This job could become permanant at a little bit higher pay - but I think I'm a job snob. Other than money I'm getting nothing out of it. In my previous job I got a lot of job satisfaction and I needed that along with the money (not the call center job, the one before that).
But beggars can't be choosers, right? I mean everyone says they'd pick lettuce for $50.00/hr - so it must be about the money and not the work.
I'm not making any decisions right now because getting back into the swing of things, the hour commute, 8 hours of data entry with 2 cigarette breaks and then coming home to make dinner and STILL driving my kids to baseball games and picking up a prom dress is EXHAUSTING me right now and I know my mind is not clear. Plus today is the day I hear about another job (though I'm not real optimistic). And lastly, they haven't offered me anything permanant.
Anyway - the question is - can money be enough and should it be enough if the bottom line is to pay the bills, put your kids through college etc.?
