BLAKE`S 7 gets a second chance
One of sci-fi's cult shows from Britain, Terry Nation's BLAKE'S 7, has taken a big step forward in making its return. Actor Paul Darrow, who played the rogue named Kerr Avon in the series, has acquired the rights from Nation's widow. Together with two producers, Darrow is planning on making a mini-series that will serve as a sequel to the original show. Financing needs to come together before the show becomes a reality but Darrow is hoping it will air sometime in 2005.

According to the BBC News website, the BLAKE'S 7 sequel will pick up the story 25 years after the events seen in the original show, with Avon the only cast member set to return. The final episode ended on a mammoth cliffhanger, with the deaths of Blake's crew strongly implied.

1. I missed this the first time.

I was out of the UK during its run. (I also missed Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.)

Was it any good? (I was weaned on Space: 1999, The Thunderbirds and UFO.)

4. Weaned on the same stuff
and when I saw "Blake's Seven" it took about two minutes before I turned away from it forever. Maybe I should have given it a chance. Perhaps its story would have made up for a total absence of believable (heck, even obvious) special effects.

Naaaaaaaaaaaa.

Commander Stryker wouldn't have approved.

3. Blake's 7 or the Good Doctor
I never got into Blake's 7 because the local PBS station took Doctor Who off the air to show B7. Well I was not happy about that so I didn't watch.

I wish the BBC would release the Doctor Who DVDs in seasons instead of individually because for what you get they are hardly worth $20.00 or more.

I caught it by chance a few years ago on the local PBS station and found it rather good for that type of show. came on after red dwarf and before Dr. Who.
