12. I think ergotism is still going in the health food community.

We used to have customers that would order 25lb bags of rye regularly. If they didn't get their rye on time, they would turn into the worst raging maniacs ever. A tweaker without meth is calmer than one of these weirdos without rye.

None of the employees understood it, but the rye people were CRAZY!

At the time (early 60s), my 4 siblings had been vaccinated but as a newborn, I had not been....

I don't remember it personally, of course, but I'm told that when my heart stopped, it was the quick action of a doctor (who lived nearby) plunging a needle into my heart that saved my life.
