I'm 5'2", he's 3'7" already. I think he'll be taller than me three years, four at the most. Not that being taller than me is any great feat. :)

26. He's homeschooled.

He's quite the little advocate though and definitely has no problems telling people what he won't eat and in a rather childlike way (ie- That's milk for Baby Cows! or We don't eat chickens because it hurts them.) he'll usually say why.

He cracks me up because when he goes to his omni father's house he'll take over little comics and such to read to his Dad. He gets really irritated with is father when he eats things he thinks he shouldn't. His Dad's good about making sure that he has plenty of vegan food for LeftyKid though, and he's never questioned my decision to raise him vegan, which I'm lucky for.

34. Well he's only five.

If he were in school anyplace sane it'd only be a half day and it takes much less time to deal with one kid rather than twenty or so. Right now it's really easy to work teachable moments into our day and practice counting at the grocery store or reading when we're bored and kicked back with books. He steals the computer from me to chat or send email or plays instructional games on his own while I kill time on the internets. We watch a few Discovery/National Geographic/PBS/BBC nature documentaries a week and we go to the library a lot. It helps that he's a really smart inquisitive kid. I don't know if I'd have the energy to teach him if he were the sort of kid who resists learning, but he loves it.
