How many centuries have you waited for humanity to become ready?
Those of you who don't understand the term "become ready" clearly aren't the intended target for this thread.

And of course, by centuries, I'm using the term in the human's limited sense of understanding, a "linear" time that is irreversible.

I've been waiting about 300,000 centuries, and I grow less and less hopeful with every passing one... thankfully, I slept through the last 800; but the shock upon awakening in the late 1800s (as these humans measure their "time") was almost more than I could handle, the change in their technology was so dramatic, but the change in the people so liminal.

Sigh.

At least they invented computers, which seem to keep me occupied while I wait.

2. Just remember the entire human experience has led up to producing me
What a letdown this must be for everyone.

3. One of the biggest letdowns in my life, quite honestly.
I'd waited almost 30 million years for your birth, and I was there, and when it happened I just said a very sad, "oh. That's it, then?" and walked out of the hospital and drank myself into a stupor the next 16 years until I fell asleep.
