A guy tried to pick me up yesterday...
:D A very nice guy, too. I had gone to a local Middle Eastern restaurant to pick up takeout for dinner, and I know from experience that it's better not to call the order in ahead of time since they either never get to it or get it totally wrong. Well, they were very busy, and when I finally got through placing my order, there was nowhere to sit. I stood for a while waiting for my order, and a nice guy (late 40s, glasses, reading Democracy Matters :D ) sitting by himself said, "You can sit here if you like." I thanked him and sat down, and he said, "This place is great but it's a long wait sometimes." I said, "I know---I love the food, so it's a good thing I don't have to be anywhere else." I told him he was reading a great book, and then I put in a plug for DU :P . My order was up, so as I stood up to get it, I thanked him for letting me sit there. He said, "I'd love to get your phone number. Maybe we could go out some time." I said, "I'm very flattered...but I'm also very married. If I weren't, you'd have my number in a second!" He said, "Well, you can't blame me for trying!" I thanked him again, got my food, and left.

I didn't mention this to hubby---he's insecure enough as it is. It doesn't mean I didn't get a huge ego boost, though! :D

2. Thank you, sweetie!
:* Most guys usually see that I've got rings on, so they don't bother. This guy didn't see the rings because they were underneath my purse strap (not intentionally).

:D :loveya:

3. Any admiration is good for the ego
Sounds like a decent guy though.
So obviously you are attracting the right kind of guys.
I remember when i first lost a bunch of weight I was at a concert I was feeling down and depressed And a girl walked buy looked at me and smiled. Nothing but a smile thats it..But it was just what i needed!!
People need little things like that to help them feel Alive.
I guess thats why i am such a picture posting whore.

6. I know the feeling!
It's kind of "I could if I wanted to"... and it's a reminder that I am still me. :D

Keep on posting pics---I like 'em! :D

4. Sounds like a nice guy...
Fun to know you aren't just hubby's sexual fantasy... that other men find you desirable too.

Cool, you little vixen! :)

9. In the movie
I would make your husband a right-wing republican, you a die-hard liberal. You leave the house in a huff after arguing about politics. Then you meet Mr. Democracy Matters, who also complains about his "partner" being too right wing.

So the woman (no longer you in this case cause now I'm really stretching the realms of fiction) ends up getting involved with Mr. Democracy Matters. But the problem is, he refuses to let go of his right-wing partner. And she still hasn't left her right-wing husband, who is becoming more and more alienated from her.

She then finds out that Mr. Democracy Matters is gay and involved with her husband, whom she did not know is gay.

10. Damn! That's a well-though-out plot....
Hubby IS more centrist Democrat than I am (I'm a true bleeding-heart liberal)..and some of his views on stuff like gun control are actually RW....Hmmmmm....

What are you gonna call it? Hey, if you make the movie, at least dedicate it to me, willya? :hi: :P

11. I just woke up so I'm still floating in between consciousness
and subconsciousness, which is always good for writing fiction.

I'm a solid liberal, but I am also a gun owner so I've had people accuse me of having right-wing views on guns.

But they didn't live to tell about it. (insert spaghetti-western theme music here)
