People celebrating in the streets?
Tuned in to CNN briefly. Now even Christianne Amanpour has gone to the dark side. Talking about how happy people on the streets of London are, yet had no proof. I'm sure they are happy, but these people make it sound like KC and the Sunshine band are playing a free gig in Trafalgar square in honour of the capture. Then wwe cut to some prick in Iraq talking about "People dancing in the streets"
Yet we don't see this footage either...I turn to CBC newsworld to see this big party....yeah like 50 people....gimme a break.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad the guy was captured. But isn't that a big enough story in itself...do we need to make up more stuff?

If there was more and I just turned on the tube at the wrong time let me know....I just had to bitch.

9. I saw that too
The Baghdad Chapter of the Iraqi Communist Party were celebrating. I kept seeing footage of dancing Iraqis holding red flags and then it hit me---these were the long suppressed Iraqi Reds.

17. The lady in the red turtleneck
is who I noticed.

Yup, they look like Communists to me.

I think it'd be the greatest irony if L. Paul Bremmer's closest allies in Iraq were the Communist Party, and it looks like it may well turn out that they are.

4. Sir Elton John and Cliff and Richard...
...are planning a Christmas single to celebrate the capture of the butcher of Belgrade, I mean Baghdad. It's available from all good record stores.

Seriously, you do have a point. Same old shite about dancing in the street again. I'd like to know what kind of dancing it was. Was it Riverdance, or cha cha cha, what? Don't leave us in the dark. Describe the dancing you CNN bellends.

14. the media has an interest in it hyping the importance of sadaam's capture
Afterall, they supported this debacle right from the beginning. They are so desperate to report on anything that they feel they can spin into a vindication of Bush and themselves. Reality be dammned!
