Is it safe to go out wearing my parka and thong thermal underwear yet?

2. Before or after humidity factor?
Either way, I feel like I ought to go out and roast some marshmallows on the driveway... Hmm, 100 degree heat, a box of semi-crunchy Peeps (the ugly red ones), and voila...

4. Having a heat wave!
I would suggest thongs in this weather, but I will not be participating. Some things you just would not want to see, HypnoToad.

Next five days:
105, 107, 106, 104, 105

I remember my first summer in the Central San Joaquin Valley.

1971--It was one of the hottest summers ever. Daily temps of over 120 for several weeks straight. THe tar roads in the little town where I was living were actually melting. If you walked on them, you'd sink as the tar gave way, and your shoe print would be left behind.

8. For a minute there HT, I thought you lived in LA.

We've had a heat advisory all day.
Right now, at 7:45 pm, it's 83 degrees out.

We've had almost a solid month of this heat and humidity.
