This is inspired by this thread entitled
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x5388838 this is a feature in a Indianapolis newspaper Nuvo and also on Craig's list. Basically these ads are written by someone who sees or meets someone they don't know at a place (bookstore,Restuarant,Bar,Park) and only have small talk or exchange glances/eye contact (Example you winked at me) and they write this ad trying to find this person. 90% of these ads are written because of a attraction or in hopes of a relationship with this stranger (kind of creepy). I get a kick out of reading these off the wall ads and it's hard to believe someone thinks they have a chance of finding this person thru the chance they might read this ad and not get scared.
Here are some examples from Craig's List I found
Uno's on the NE Side - m4m - 22
You were the server who is about 5'6" and I kept on making eye contact with you. My server was the meathead. I was in a group of five people and we were sitting near the server station and drink station. Hope to hear from you =)
You were sitting in front of Hobby Lobby with a bandana on your head - w4m
I was secretly trying to check you out without being obvious. Perhaps we'll meet again sometime. I know that you would remember me if you see me again because I'm just that kind of girl.
Last Night at Hollywood Bar and Film - m4w
As my friend and I were hailing the elevator, an older woman and you come up behind us. I noticed your cute smile and wanted to say something. Unfortunately I thought you were there with your mother and I didn't want an ackward situation in front of her. My friend mentioned a few times how the elevator was the slowest one in Indianapolis. I would love to have a conversation with you and find out what you thought about the movie. I hope you read this and are curious enough to send me an email.
County Line Road - m4w - 36
When: Saturday morning around 11:15 AM
You: Blue car, driving west on County Line towards Hwy 31
Me : Driving on your right side same direction, black 4 door car.
We kept looking at each other, not sure if there was interest or not. Let me know. :) This is my favorite "psycho"
So I hope those are good examples of what these ads look like, I'd like to seen if any members of DU can creatively come up something that is out there or just as off the wall as some of these.
