4. I HATED "The Village" when I first saw it in theatres...
... but I have seen it several times on one of the DirectTV movie channels... and I actually have done a 180... I really like it a lot now. I'm not sure, but I think it's because what it says about human behavior.

... But I will admit, when I first saw it in theatres, before the twist is revealed, I was so bored and I so badly wanted the movie to end, I kept hoping that Bryce Dallas Howard would trip on a rock, hit her head and die.

Anyway, just my thoughts...

Peace,

6. Who greenlights his films? Researchers who know that IDIOTS LIKE ME...

... will actually go out and pay money to see his films, hoping that, even it is PAINFULLY slow, there will be a brilliant twist at the end.

Yes, on repeated viewings, I thought "The Village" was a good movie, not just because of the twist at the end, but because of what it says about society. I eventually forgave M. Night Shymalan's turtle pace at the beginning...

Don't ask for my opinion on the dump truck of elephant shit that was "Unbreakable" and "Signs."

I disliked "Lady in the Water" so much, I am SERIOUSLY starting to forget that I even saw the movie... seriously, I think I am starting to develop a blank spot in my memory that was that movie.

Peace,

P.S. Does M. Night Shymalan know that he writes such shitty dialogue? (Before you critique the dialogue in "The Village," keep in mind that, with the plot twist at the end, it actually made sense for the Villagers to speak so awkwardly. So, in my book, Symalan's bad dialogue gets a pass for that one film.)
