World War II Conspiracy Theories.
I'll start...

Did Hitler have possession of the Spear of Destiny, and did he believe that possession of arcane occult artifacts would bring him victory?

Was the man in Spandau Prison really Rudolf Hess?

Did Churchill deliberately mishandle operations in order to disguise the Enigma secret?

Was Prince Philip a fascistic Greek partisan leader?

What happened to the Amber Room?

12. Instigate? No. Allow it to happen? Maybe
It was no secret he wanted the US in the war but the people didn't want anything to do with it. Japan stupidly provided him with a way to convince the masses.

I am thankful we did enter the war. I have no doubt that the war woul dhave found us eventually anyway and I am glad that we didn't sit back and watch Germany and Japan slaughter millions more then they already had.

16. Nope
Old RW smear job from the 50s that just keeps on running and running. No serious historian gives it a second thoguht anymore. FDR wanted to get into the war vs GERMANY. He was very afraid that if we got into war with Japan instead that the US would be distracted leaving Britain (and Russia) to face Germany alone. Germany blew it by declaring war against the US on December 9.

18. Very correct
and why would he leave Pearl totally undefended. Wouldn't be enough pretext if Japan had attacked a Pearl Harbor that was ready to defend itself? Why would he allow so many warships to be sunk when it was not nessecary to prove Japan launched an attack before declaring war?

15. Well just look at what a poor job they were doing!
They were getting their butts kicked. England seemed especially eager to withdraw from the continent. The ruling classes of England and France were pro-fascist and rather than do the dirty work themselves, they wanted Germany to come and "liberate" them from Democracy.

3. Ok.
Did Martin Bormann somehow flee from Berlin?

There WAS speculation that he got out alive.

There was apparently a number of people who escaped from the bunker
along U-bahn tunnels and so on. Many people believed Bormann to have been one of them. There are also stories of Storch planes taking off from the Tiergarten.

9. Bormann
Bormann's skeleton was found under the ruins of a bridge.

DNA tests on the bones, showed it was him.
(Using DNA from his living relatives.)

The teeth had glass fragments imbedded in them, plus the area the skeleton was found, was an area over-run by Soviet troops.
So it's more than likely, in danger of being captured by the Soviets, Bormann crushed a glass cyanide capsule in his teeth.

6. I'll answer a few here.
"Did Hitler have possession of the Spear of Destiny, and did he believe that possession of arcane occult artifacts would bring him victory?"

Hitler did have some belief in the occult, and as such he was a willing sucker to astrologers who kissed up to him, and such.

He probably had what he was told was this "Spear of Destiny," but it was more than likely a fake.

"Was the man in Spandau Prison really Rudolf Hess?"

All credible information says he was.

"What happened to the Amber Room?"

The Nazis broke up and looted this Russian Czarist treasure, years and decades later, small pieces of it have turned up here and there.

7. Yeah, the only one of those three that has legs (we can't seem to prove
the Hess one) is the Amber Room, sections of which are apparently buried in old tunnels in Eastern Germany.

8. I'll field the Churchill/Enigma one...
Yes.

Coventry was allowed to be bombed so the secret that the Allies had cracked Enigma would remain a secret.

20. The Nazi V-weapons designer
also enabled the first men to land on the moon. I wonder if his bad deeds and work for the Nazis are outweighed by the service he has done humanity?

himself in a public ceremony. He spent much of the war gunning people down in Greece

I swear. :)
