Need help with popups / browser hijackings...

Ok, I'm using adaware (www.lavasoft.de) and even spybot. the problem seems to be fixed on my pc, but my wife's pc keeps reverting back.

Essentially, I run adaware and spybot, delete all the tracking and browser hijack files, etc. Then, after a reboot, her browser re-sets itself from her homepage to searchclick.net or what have you. ALSO, it runs this insidious little program that converts keywords in any webpage she views into this little hyperlinks back to searchclick (or whatever it is).

What can I do to eradicate this thing?

1. Do this.
If you are using IE and want to keep using IE...get thee to Google.com and download their Google Toolbar. It blocks most of the popups.

If you want to switch browsers go and get Mozilla or Phoenix and never see another popup again with the added benefit that you can now see cascading style sheets correctly.

2. Also download cwshredder.
It finally got rid of a hijack I could not get rid of. Also updating my browser helped a lot too.

4. The Best Source I've Found So Far
Is "Major Geeks." They're aware of any updates in AdAware, Spybot, Panda and Micro$haft as it happens.

5. I loaded the noted programs and
Zone-Alarm. I went to Kim Kommando's site and got a 15 day free trial. That has helped a lot.

Stay far, far away from spynuker......Its loaded with add ware!

I'm still cleaning up.

6. Also check to see if Adaware has an update.
I kept having a coolweb hijack daily and about a week ago I did the update on Adaware and then ran it and I have not had it yet. Either that or updating my browser did the trick.

Go here:

This shows how to get rid of various browser hijacks.

As far as the hyperlink program goes, this is spyware. Run AdAware and Spybot. You can also go into Add/Delete programs on the control panel, and delete any funny stuff you recognize.
