not good when a drug addicted acquaintence knocks on the door at 2 am
I thought somebody was trying to break in, I was about to attack the guy. He tried to just walk in I think, then started staring in the window. I jumped up, woke my brother up and opened the door about ready to go nuts on whomever it was.

He just stood there. "Um... are you still mad at me?"

Well, if I wasn't before I am now.

See, my brother and I used to see this guy around a few years ago, my brother made friends with him, just chatting outside our apartment complex. He came over and watched football a few times. He's a pretty friendly guy, has some demons though. Was addicted to heroin, had some serious problems with that and the law.

Soon thereafter he got thrown in prison.

Well, a few weeks ago I was walking to class, and I ran into him on the street for the first time in about 3 years. Said hi, talked for a bit etc. Then the very next day I ran into him again.

So he decided to stop by.

I had been getting up at 4:30 am and not getting home to around 7 PM or so, if not later. Well, I get home at 7 that night, completely exhausted and this guy brings some older woman to the house. I never met her before, my brother didn't know her. She was nice, but, well, sort of trashy and probably had her fair share of demons if she was hanging out with this guy.

All I wanted to do was get something to eat, catch up on some reading on DU, Huffpost etc and crash out. Well, he was trying to hang out and party. Not good.

I went in the back room to change and he follows me back there. "Hey, what do you think of (her name)? I brought her over so you can get laid, she already says she wants you, etc"

Oh lord. There was no way I was going to do that!

So, I have to turn that down, I do my reading and stuff and go to lay out at about 9 or so. This guy says he is going to walk to the store across the street, and be right back. My brother is thinking he'll be right back and then he'd boot them out so I can go to bed.

This guy leaves and does not show up until 3 AM. He just left that woman at my house, she kept trying to have sex with my brother, and he wanted no part of her. It was a very uncomfortable situation. Well, when this guy comes back, he then has sex with the woman on the floor, amd instead of taking her with him, he leaves her here and does not show back up until like 5 PM the next day.

My brother kicked him out. My brother was mad, much more of a hot head than I am, and he was pretty offended. I just told the guy he can't be doing that stuff, we have a curfew and I have to get up early etc. But, my brother gave him a lecture and kicked him out.

So, then the guy shows up a little bit ago.

I wonder, what makes somebody think it is acceptable to show up at somebody's apartment at 2 AM on a weeknight? Especially when he knows he is already on thin ice with the people he is about to wake up?

Some people.

He about got himself killed too. I thought he was trying to break in, I was prepared to hurt whomever it was pretty bad. My brother was as well.

Weird situation. This guy must have no common sense. If he sneaks around places like that all the time he's going to get shot or something. Pretty dumb move.

But yes, that is my night. It is time for bed.

1. Sounds like a disaster. You're too nice. Sex on your floor?

At least he didn't use the couch. Leaving the girl? Did she pass out? Doesn't he have his own floor? Good story, though. Surreal. Kind of like drugstore cowboy. Good stuff for your DU Journal.

2. one of the first things that drugs take away is inhibitions and
common sense as your story so colorfully proves. Sad thing is: its funny cos its true. Why is humor often like that?

sorry for your woes my friend but, thanks for sharing cos it sure makes for a funny read:hug:
