Have been rewatching Buffy: TVS Season 7 dvd the past few days
And, damn! I miss that show. It was really, really good. And, it continually got ignored by the Emmys -- along with many other great fantasy and sci-fi shows.

1. I got into it really late.
I watched an episode and realized not only was it a good show, but Allison Hannigan was hot. That was good enough for me. <-----totally has a thing for red-heads

9. Never saw it when it was on, but always heard good things about it.
We just finished up to the end of season 4 via Netflix, and are really liking it so far. And yeah, Allison is hot, which considering the general level of hotness of all the actors on the show is really saying something.

22. Warning: Season 5 is dark, emotionally.
It's a tough season. Shit hits the fan all over the place.

God, I miss that show. Even having it on DVD isn't enough. I miss the weekly wait for Tuesday nights. Firefly, too....

35. yes no maybe....
Five is about depression, six is about the yearning to feel again, even if the feeling isn't necessarily healthy.

Both are places that TV rarely goes.

However, I just realized that Allison Hannigan looks JUST like one of my friend's in a few of the pics I found. Of course, it's a straight friend, so now chance there.

14. Well, you're lucky! Mine is either short or eurofro.

(not me! just an example of the only thing my hair can do when longer than an inch or so)

It drives me bonker when people tell me "oh your so lucky to have curly hair". Yup, both me and the bird who nests in it.

I think Gillian Anderson just hasn't realized her sapphic ways yet.

25. Yup, she said Buffy helped her come out to her very conservative
parents. She was supposed to have had the juicy part of Shane's DJ GF on the "L-Word," too... but she got screwed out of that (pun intended).

Gillian Anderson is definitely a follower of Sappho... I think she needs to be convinced.

11. I've been rewatching the same season.
I came late to Buffy, caught it on Netflix & bought the "Chosen" set when it came out. A wise investment/

Saw the season's first episode of "How I Met Your Mother"--Lily (played by Alison Hannigan) appeared looking through a window in the final scene. Her hair looked darker--perhaps just a shadow? I wondered whether The Evil Lily was going to materialize....

15. I miss it too.
The WB here showed the first couple of episodes over the weekend. I watched it from the beginning and only missed a part of season 5. My fave though was when Faith arrived and Angel turned evil. He was much hotter when he was evil!!

16. I don't really like Joss Whedon.
Character dialogue (and occasional behavior) is too unrealistic. He did better with Firefly, but even that had the same flaws.

Alyson Hannigan is hot as hell, though.

20. I love that show.
We've seen every episode several times over. And we own seasons one and two. And will add the others. I love Anthony Stewart Head. Do you remember him on those coffee commercials where him and the woman were totally in love with each other but kept being stupid and playing around the subject? Oh, and I love Nicholas Brendan and Seth Green too. I have a girl crush on Alyson Hannigan.

30. Have you seen 'Little Britain'? It's a sketch show where
Anthony Stewart Head plays the Prime Minister. Here's the only clip I could find on YouTube & frustratingly the quality is pretty appauling:

I've still got faint hopes that the BBC / Giles spin-off series will happen one day, even if it's just a one off. Not looking good though.

29. I just started watching the series this summer.
Now I'm totally hooked. I'm not sure why because it's pretty brainless (says I, who also watches Survivor so WTF do I know?) but hotness probably has a lot to do with it. I'll take Xander and Faith, you can have the rest. Yum.

and Buffy filled that need for me, and continues to fill that need. With Halloween coming up, I'll be pulling a few select episodes from the DVDs for viewing.

39. they didn't wrap up that verse with anything close to satisfaction
That last episode of Angel was such a gyp. It was missing a second half essentially. Don't give any "it's great because you can come to your own conclusion" BS.

Joss needs to figure out how to give us something new. He did it pretty well on Buffy, but Angel was the continuation of that, the second team of characters in focus and the other team occasionally hinted at, they blew it.

34. Huge JW fan here
I own all the BtVS and Angel series on DVD. But I still, STILL try to catch them on cable every weekday morning.

Joss has a real flair for dialogue and the one-liner, and great irony.

I haven't gotten Firefly yet, but I do own Serenity.

36. Got a job once, thanks to BtVS
The VP who was interviewing me had a picture of Spike on her bulletin board, and I commented that he was my favorite character, and we were off to the races.

I miss that show SO much - honest to God, I actually used to look forward to Tuesdays

38. Angel was so hot
It's been years since I got totally hooked by a TV show romance. Joss really did a good job with that ill-fated love affair between Angel and Buffy. I always wanted them to get back together. Loved that episode of Angel where he loses the curse for a day and they get one more fling!

I liked the Buffy-Spike story too. My brother could be James Marster's long lost twin, he even used to do that platinum blond Billy-Idol look. Anyway, Spike was always a favorite character, the one vampire redeemed by his own soul.

40. I didn't catch on until season 6 I think
I ended up watching it all the old show reruns in the mornings.

I always just blew it off as a silly idea for a show. I'm not much for 'supernatural' plot lines but I am a big SciFi fan (I know it's really a fine line between two styles of fantasy).

But then I watched Firefly and when I realized it was the same guy behind Buffy I gave Buffy a chance and was hooked pretty quickly.

A very high quality show and definitely should've earned some more recognition and awards.
