For those ladies that helped me last week (Update)
I got her a real card and a Herschey's Chocolate bar. I wrote simply "May you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year!"

She IM'd me about 30 minutes later and said:

"Thank you for the card. It really meant a lot to me."

To which I said:

"You're welcome. I'm leaving for Boston tomorrow but maybe we can have lunch or dinner when I return."

She agreed.

So another question:

"Thank you for the card. It really meant a lot to me."

Does she want to get back together? Does she miss me?

I need a woman's POV! Thanks!

1. It means
that she appreciates the card and it meant a lot to her.

Anything else is reading into it.

We aren't mind readers here.

2. I understand that and I wouldn't take it as the gospel...
I'm just needing some insight is all. Sorry to trouble you TrogL.

3. It could mean anything
But if she agreed to lunch or dinner when you return, that would be a good time to initiate a more serious conversation.

5. Seems as if she expressed that it meant a lot to her, there is some hope.
She did contact you right away and agreed to meet with you. As I am a female, and if you asked me for lunch or dinner and I wasn't interested, I would probably just say that I'd let you know. Hope this helps some.

8. Yes, it does. Thanks....
I wouldn't have takend "I'd let you know" as a hint. And she definitely said "Sure!" So who knows, eh?

6. Hey, I'm so glad you didn't take my advice!
My advice was to let it be an open invitation and let HER make the move.

Since I gave you wrong advice last time, I'll stay out of it this time :)
But I think she wouldn't have said "it really meant a lot to me" if she didn't miss you or at least think about you once in a while.

Good luck to ya!

7. Thanks...but I did take your advice in some fashion...
I didn't ask in the card. I asked when she Instant Messaged me!

;-)

So I'm still open to your suggestions!!!

:hi:

12. I'm glad you made a move.
It sounds good so far, just don't rush too fast.
I hope you have a great holiday and things start moving forward for the two of you when you return.

10. I would say it sounds hopeful, but don't jump the gun....
Sometimes people miss the friendship even after breaking up. If you push it, she may back off on that. But even if that is what she meant, it's not a lost cause. If you can renew the friendship part of it, then maybe in time she'll realize how great you are, and want the rest too. Good luck! :-)

11. Thanks Lisa!!
Yeah, that's definitely something I don't want to do is jump the gun. If all else fails, I would love to at least be friends with her. She's a great gal.

Thanks again.
