Hanukkah celebrants: Tell us about your presents!
We've already had five crazy nights of presents while everyone else twiddles their thumbs waiting for Christmas.

I got book, "Poems of Color: Knitting in the Bohus Tradition," and a juicer attachment for my Kitchen-Aid. I gave my husband a Lava Lamp and some other silly things. My son has been the recipient of largesse to excess; a little play house, a train set, some books and on and on. (I gotta weed out some of this stuff.)

Do tell about your loot!

1. Let's see...
I got another copy of "Winning Back America" by Howard Dean, cause my other copy got ruined, a tape recorder, and "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right" by Al Franken on CD. :D

3. We don't do presents
Our family doesn't want Chanukah to be the Jewish version of Christmas, so we don't give out presents.

Not that there's anything wrong with giving out presents, we just don't do it.

I probably will make a charitable donation, though.

4. Admirable.
I would prefer to keep it low-key myself. My in-law family exchanges gifts for Hanukkah and my father-in-law in particular showers his grandson with stuff--I really have to talk to him about that, he went a little overboard this year.

5. Now I feel good....
...just donated to Operation Uplink, an organization that provides calling cards to the troops.

Having spent Christmas 1990 in the Persian Gulf, I can tell you first-hand that it sucks.

Let's hope our troops have a safe Christmas.
