When I turned 30 it killed me, but I am rather young to be the mom of a 16 year old so I don't feel so very old at all. Now, ask me tomorrow morning when my bones are squeaking in protest and I may answer differently.

I don't feel old. Mentally at least. Physically, it's a different story. My joints are going, a bit of arthritis here and there. I don't recover as quickly from sprains, colds.

But I am young at heart. I dance to the Beatles and can still hike a 9000 ft mountain.

I haven't seen my natural hair color since I was 12. No need to see it now...

Born at 80 with all the wisdom and goodies, and reverse it until I can blissfully enjoy my own poop. Oh I might get evil as a Republican at about 18 though. No worries, I'd beg forgivness at 10 and who hates a baby anyhow?

Where have the years gone. (Not a question.) Here I am feeling JUST as immature and unwise as ever, yet with some unmistakable physical signs. There are still some BIG things I still want to do, yet have put them off and get ever more aware that every day goes by FASTER than ever and withOUT doing them. Hours go slow, but days, weeks, months, and years FLY!!!1 For a year or so I've been saying every day (or week or whatever) closer to the grave, and most people respond that THAT's not the way to look at things. I've figured out some things, like, how dumb I was when I thought I was smart, how patient and savvy my parents and others were in bearing with my "smartness". Other unpleasant realities.

it doesn't have to be hell! :D :hug: If you're concerned about lines and wrinkles (which, from your crow's feet post, I gather you are :P), there are a lot of men's products (some expensive, some not) that have hit the market lately, and from what I understand, they work pretty well. Hell, you can even use women's products---who cares what "sex" the products are??? (They're pretty much the same as the men's anyway.) I've found some things that work VERY well for me. If you want recommendations, PM me and I'll be glad to help! :)

a little grey in the beard, no sweat...crow's feet, likewise. The accumulation of backstories and the weight of many opinions...I can deal.

31. I hate lines around the eye too

Now that I have to wear my glasses again for work, it seems to be accelerating. I still don't know why wearing glasses would make more lines around my eyes than contacts. A couple years ago, my lines cleared up almost completely by rarely wearing them. The lines aren't where the glasses rest. I wear contacts when I don't wear glasses. I have rather bad vision.

Physically I don't like aging. Women are judged harshly for getting old. Mentally though - I wouldn't trade what I now know for a permanent facelift, definitely not.

but the absolute worst part about aging for me (and i'll be 51 next month), is that my eyesight is going bad! i always had 20/20 vision until about 45, then it was all downhill. i wear glasses all the time now :( i HATE it! i can live with the wrinkles and the greys, but my vision is sooooooo important.

Nothing will stop the march of time all over your face. Aging is inevitable and you should get used to it. My advice? Moisturize, moisturize, and moisturize again. Use a really good non-greasy moisturiser. Clinique is good followed up with Biotherm eye treatment. Roche-Posay make a very good line of products too, but costly.

BTW. you wear Old Spice don't you?

Old Spice and sometimes Axe... doesn't do much good, or I haven't noticed a difference. (but what would I know; I'm 34.47 and I still can't fathom many forms of 'body language'...)
