How come people like Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin are loved...
on television, but people who are like that in real life are despised?

6. But some people in real life are the same way.
Why are they not revered in the same way?

10. Because the consequences of the actions of a fictional character...
Are not the same as the consequences of the actions of a real person.

11. Yet we design fictional characters out of real peoples' actions,
and then profit by them.

13. 7 times out of 10, they are obviously magnified caricatures of reality.
Still, 3 times out of 10 combined with real people who do make mistakes...

3. i enjoy them for the humor of it
but seriously, i would not want to be with anyone like Peter because emotionally he is too child-like. I want a relationship with a person, i don't want to be their mommy.

4. Those people, you don't know them for 20-odd minutes a week...
...in fact, they never seem to go away.
