1. I send Christmas cards.
I do it because I enjoy it, and it helps me feel cozy and happy.

3. That's the very best reason. Thanks. I do, too, but
not always for your reasons.
Christmas has turned into a 'because I have to' holiday in many ways.

10. I send holiday cards.......
My family is nominally or culturally Christian, but we have many friends and relatives who are Jewish, or atheists.......

So we send holiday cards, and for me, it is a labor of love.

The season is to celebrate love, IMHO..........

because I like sending them. I also like receiving them.

12. Because I'm a Stationery Slut
I write letters on paper. I love cards and paper and pens. Sending cards is just another excuse to indulge in my paper habit.

17. ROTFLMAO! I knew that was going to
be good, or brutal. I hope he doesn't mind, but I might just ignore that advice. Either that, or keep your X-mas card list very selective.

21. I love cards
it's a way to say hi to folks you haven't seen in a while. I really enjoy picking out the holiday cards, I have a particular fondness for Caspari cards- they are beautifully done.

22. I HATE the Christmas letters.
We have a friend who starts his in December and usually finishes and mails it in April.
He thinks this is just side-splitingly funny.
Year after year.
And I really don't give a shit that he went hunting with his brother again this year or went to the craft fair in Derry, or ANYTHING about the mundane details of his life.
Did I mention that he's also a repug?
:grr:

23. I send out a whopping three:
One to my homebound aunt because she's really too ill to get out and around much, but she loves hearing from family. I always tuck some pictures of LeftyKid in there because she loves him. She's Catholic, though I don't know how seriously she takes it all. Probably not very.

One to LeftyKid's paternal grandparents, again with some pictures tucked inside. They're Presbyterian, and pretty involved in their church, but if I sent a holiday card instead of a Christmas one they wouldn't care. Still, the card is for them, so it generally says Christmas.

One to my boyfriend. Neither of us is so into the religious side of it, but I generally will use any convenient excuse to spoil him, so he gets a card and some food and I send presents to the dogs.

If I'm really feeling ambitious I could send cards to my other two aunts, but I generally can't be bothered and just sign a card from my father and sister if I get the chance before it's mailed out.

25. To reconnect with old friends
I send out appropriate cards every year. Aside from that I just like receiving cards. It is the only communication I have with several old friends from my college days.
