Saw the ad for "Rocky Balboa" tonight.

Is it just me or is this the saddest, most pathetic film project to come along in a while? I'm not going to plunk down $10 to revisit a character I didn't find all that interesting 20 years ago.

I kind of feel bad for Stallone... doing anything he can to get back into the spotlight again. The American public can be a fickle mistress -- one moment we love, the next we don't even remember who you are.... :shrug:

2. I'm sure it will be alright

I wasn't a huge Rockey fan, but the flicks weren't all that bad and I'm sure it will be a decent story. It's just fluff, and it will be fluff this time. I won't go see it at the theater, but I don't see anything at the theater. I probably won't see the new Rockey picture until 2010 anyway. I can name a lot more films that have come out in the last 10 years that are probably a lot worse.

3. Maybe in this one he's an underdog who through will, heart, and determination,

somehow musters up the courage to win. I can't wait to find out!
