It's a total of registrations, not a cleaned up version.

5. Sadly alot of tombstones. Some resurrect from the dead though, and live

another life or two here, so who knows the real number. But, still DU is growing. ;-)

8. Real number is easy to get if you want to do the math.

If you look at the profile index, then add up all the registered users per character, you get the real number of current users because tombstoned ones aren't part of that count.

So, right now, there are 29,932 active profiles. As of 12/30/03 2:30 PM Calif time there are 37,021 registered users. That means 7,089 have been tombstoned, or removed in some other way.
