And listens to the Beatles. Quite a lot, actually. Is this odd? Do any of you guys know any teenagers who listen to that type if music (I've actually kinda grown to like the stuff, in all honesty)

4. I'm 28 now...
but I listened EXCLUSIVELY to the Beatles from the time I was 12 until I was, maybe, 16 -- this was in the late 80s when everyone else was listening to glam rock etc. I went on to get a degree in Music Composition, and I'm absolutely certain that were it not for the Beatles I wouldn't have become a musician.

5. I know plenty!
I'd say quite a high percentage of my middle school students love The Beatles. Some REALLY love them.

8. Really love them?
Most my friends regard my brother a slightly crazy for his music tastes, which is probably true.

6. LOL
The Beatles were the first rock n' roll band I ever listened to.

At 12.

10. My children are
Edited on Tue Dec-30-03 02:32 PM by OldEurope
13 (14 next month) and 10, and they often like the music we are introducing to them.
On one side, my old favourites made really good music, and at second: many of modern singers are covering old songs.
And third: I am really afraid, that no really good music is coming up recently. End of all times... no new music...
Edit on hope:
perhaps that young man is just really a musician.

11. I don't like a lot of modern music either
My best friend loves rap, me not so much. I stopped liking Briney Spears when I realized I'm not an idiot, and I despise country music. I like Norah Jones alright, but that's about it.

15. Never heard about Norah Jones. My children at the very moment are
mad about Mozart but they also like Beatles and Bob Dylan.

14. Not unusual....kids that age love pop music...soon he'll like rock
and then the fun really starts. But for now at that age there is nothing wrong with listening to some harmless pop music.

hee hee...yes I'm being a wisenheimer.

18. I'm 17 and listen to the Beatles some, not fanatically though.
With the complete decline of quality modern music theres not much else to listen too. Some people actually like instruments still, these days.
