so, i wrote and asked the family association running it when it will end (most likely never or only should they...uh...somehow prevail); and if they'll still send it to congress if it shows this kind of huge support for same-sex marriage. of course i haven't heard back from them. but still wondering.....

If that's the way it winds up when AFA closes the poll, you know they will never publish it. You know they will never, ever change their position on this.

They can't. They operate on the firm belief that the word of God is the only authority, and to give up that belief would mean they doubt. They can't doubt, because they live by faith.

The slightest bit of doubt would send their worlds crashing about their ears. Not to mention that their God would be terribly disappointed in them. Tsk, tsk.

to me, even watching them have to throw it away helps. having others see they'd sooner toss it than admit the truth of it, is big.

to update, for now:
the voting is raging again, with current pro same-sex marriage votes still almost doubling those against - sometimes more than doubling.

any who haven't voted, i wish you would! and please pass the word and post other places you know of. clearly fr'ers are doing that.

i wrote that 'family association,' asking if they'll send it to congress even if it's so strongly in favor of same-sex marriage, and when the petition will close. no answer yet.
