My sin..I never voted for Bill Clinton..it is my shame :(

1. I Did Vote Republican Once!

in a primary, I voted against Tim Hutchinson and voted for Jim Bob Duggar (the guy with all the kids) in Arkansas for Senate

Hutchinson won the primary, and lost the election to Pryor

but I wanted him to fail before then because Jim Bob would have been slaughtered

otherwise, I'm a died in he wool democrat

I worked on his campaign in '92 but was too young to vote. I did shake his hand that year though.

In '96 my girlfriend and I decided to take off one afternoon about a week before the election and travel across country. I didn't get back for over a month.

I'm so sorry you guys. Please forgive me - and give me a chance to explain.

My father was ultra conservative - a card carrying Bircher. Our move behind the Orange Curtain was a political one. It was safer here. And whiter. My father attended secret meetings here with other Birchers. They spoke in whispers about commies and pinko fags.

He was an Independent NOT a Republican. Republicans were bad. Democrats were worse.

When I turned 18 and registered Republican I thought I was being a rebel.

(I did vote for Bill Clinton, though - if that helps)

My area is so republican most of the time there aren't even any democrats running for local offices. The "real" election is the primary. So, if I'm not a registered republican, I'd have no input on the county commissioners, school board, sheriff, etc.

because I refused to vote for the Democratic candidate - my cousin. I remember what a jackass he was in high school (and he still is one) and I could nto bring myself to vote for him. There, I've said it, I actually voted for a Republican once.
