Just back from Dem Christmas party.

Good crowd, good eats, good drinks, good conversation, lots of spirit, Christmas AND political.

Best news: Our fantastic and very smart lady who ran unsuccessfully against entrenched repug congressman is itching for a re-match in 2008!

"We started too late. The guy who conventional wisdom said had the lock on the Democratic nomination dropped out and I was the 'fill in' candidate." (I didn't know that.)

Anyway...we had a great time.
Sang a bunch of karaoke Christmas songs and ended with "Happy Days Are Here Again".
I love that song.
OK, I go back to the FDR days.
