Today in history 12-12
Happy birthday to Frank Albert Sinatra (1915)

Frank Sinatra made his first record in 1939 and became one of the most popular singers in the world. His career lasted close to 60 years and he is still being played on the radio today.

There is no denying the true talents Sinatra had and it is obvious to see how his true talent made him become as popular as he was.

Below... Frank's "true talent":

1970 - The Doors played what would be their last ever live show with Jim Morrison when they played in New Orleans.

At this last concert Jim did NOT show his pee pee and didn't get arrested. Morrison then moved to Paris where he drank like a fish and died in a bathtub. Mr. Mojo Risin' ended up Mr. NoMo Risin'.

1985 -
Keyboardist Ian Stewart dies in London. Stewart was a founding member of the Rolling Stones. However, Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham kicked him out of the band because he didn't have "the right look."

Oh the irony. He was kicked out for not having "the right look", but I bet ya that even today while decaying in the ground, Ian looks better than Keith.

1957 - KEX DJ Al Priddy is fired from the Portland, Ore., radio station. His crime? He played Elvis Presley's rendition of "White Christmas" on air. The station had banned Presley's interpretations of Christmas carols, believing that such a sexually-charged performer had no business recording religious music.

So you see? It was ELVIS who started the "war on Christmas", so choke on that O'Reilly and Hannity!

1970 - Charges of "larceny by trick" are filed against Little Richard in Miami Beach, Florida by Blacks, Inc., a black advocacy and self-help group which says the veteran rocker pocketed $250 he had solicited for Blacks, Inc. Little Richard claims that all he wants is a receipt and then he'll give them their money. A week later, the charges were dropped.

Wait a minute! It was a self-help group for blacks. Little Richard is black and helped himself... what's the problem?

1995 - Michael Jackson left Beth Israel Medical Center North in a white van. Jackson was hospitalized after collapsing in a New York theater while rehearsing for a TV special on December 6.

Reportedly, Jackson's nose fell off during a complicated "moonwalk, breakdown, two-step". His nose was glued back on and he was given another coat of primer then released.

1999 - Celine Dion was at No.1 on the US album chart with ‘All The Way, A Decade Of Song.’

In truth, this was only one song. Being subjected to her for one song only *felt* like a fucking decade.

2000 - A divided U.S. Supreme Court halted the presidential recount in Florida, effectively making Republican George W. Bush the winner.

Fuckers

1957 - This would have been Jerry Lee Lewis and Myra Gail Brown's 49th wedding anniversary.

Jerry Lee was still married, Myra was his cousin, Myra was 13.

Below, Myra's hope chest from her wedding:

1976 - Jack Cassidy, father of David Cassidy quit smoking. It took him a little longer to quit smoldering.

5. 1990: I underwent successful brain surgery
For removal of a tumor. Maybe not as important in the overall scheme of things but it makes me happy that I'm still alive and kicking.

I can't believe how much David Cassidy looks like his father now.
