I miss my Grandmother today
She could always make me laugh...and knew how to tell a story like nobody's business. One day, we were sitting on my Grandmother's front porch, and I asked her, "How do you stay so cheerful-- after all you've been through?" I remember her slow Southern drawl, as she replied, "Sheri, if I wore my emotions on my sleeve nobody'd want to be around me!"

I could really use one of her stories today. *sigh*

My husband's Great-Grandma (she's 96) cracks me up, too.
Last year at Thanksgiving, she made a cat-call at me and hollered, "Sex-y!"

Women like them make the thought of getting older seem alright.

5. Yes - I understand.
My Grandmother was a 'hoot' to be around also. We had some excellent adventures together.
This time of year always brings our loved ones to mind.

12. Sorry to hear that.
The memories though of her are obviously good ones. She will always be with you. However, I understand in the last year and a half I have lost both of my remaining grand parents.
