1. Just my own note on that song...
"You see these shackles? Baby, I'm your slave" has to be the least ambiguous line in the history of songwriting.

2. Heh, that and I'll let you whip me if I misbehave
But the beat just kills me... whoever produced this knew what they were doing, dammit!

Take it to the bridge....... :bounce:

3. I'm bringing sexy baaaaaack
you other boys don't know how to aaaaact

Yeah, I like the song too. It's catchy!

I'll one-up your humiliation factor though. I'm addicted to Wind it Up by Gwen Stefani. A ridiculous rip off of The Sound of Music, of all things. But I'll be damned if I don't catch myself singing along! Oh, and then there's Fergilicious...

4. Mine too!
I had no idea who sang it until about a week ago. But I still like it. I will only admit that here at DU, never around my friends or SO. I would shunned and ostracized.

6. Get some ABBA and that should cure you.
I think Sundog would let you borrow one of his copies.

16. Fortunately, the only urge I get is to dance when I hear it
Which is probably a good thing since most of the men I'm around lately are half my age :D:

13. I have a co-worker that has this song as a ring tone.
And he has it turned up all the way and tends to walk away from his desk without his phone.

I. HATE. That. Song.

I'm thinking about asking the E.D. if we could kindly make a rule to put cell phones on vibrate or mute during work hours.

15. I'm beginning to hate all these damn ring tones in general
My SO changed the one on my phone without telling me to this really loud, annoying ring tone. It scared the crap out of me when the damn phone went off, at school of all places. Bad enough that I forgot to turn it off, but I think everyone in the building could hear the damn thing.

28. Yeah!

It's Timbaland. The guy in the background is always the one chanting mind control spells. :)

It's the same for Goldigger by Kanye. And it's the only explanation for Fergilicious.

30. I can TOP your guilty pleasure, belladonna
Ahem...

sigh...

harumph, huhf...

(ok, deep breath, deep breath)

HEEEEEEEHHHH, WHHOOOOOOOSH...

all right, here we go...

You know, I really feel that William Shatner's "The Transformed Man" is, all camp value aside, a pretty decent album. The orchestration is brilliant, particularly the Cyrano de Bergerac monologue segue into "Mr. Tambourine Man." As a whole, the album is deep commentary on societal anxiety in the mid-late 60s.

(wow, I feel better having shared that)

Group hug: :grouphug:
