What do you think The Police will play to open the Grammys?
Realistically, now...I think it's pretty safe to say they won't play "Be My Girl/Sally."

9. Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
It was my favorite song for YEARS.

I would enjoy a little "Synchronicity," but I'm sure they're going with something "safe".

15. Hey, but it's in 7/4!! Doesn't he get points for creative time sigs?
The last page of the Firebird Suite by Igor Stravinsky is in 7/4.

That doesn't mean that Andy Summers can write a decent song though.

Far too overplayed, IMO. "So Lonely" would be my pick.

25. I have no idea but I am sure that whatever it is, there will be
a group that detests it and will say that the wrong song was chosen.

Then there will be the threads denouncing any performer that thanks the wrong deity or person. A pethora of threads will be dedicated to performers who suck and who should never be allowed to perform in public. Name-calling will ensue and additional threads will be started to continue the argument and debate.

Someone will eventually get their back up and complain that millions are starving/dying/suffering and that the Grammy Awards are a useless display of money and arrogance and the money could have been better spent elsewhere.

For me: I DON'T CARE. Sometimes the pettiness gets to me. If people can't deal with events and performances, STOP WATCHING AND COMPLAINING. Let the people who do enjoy them do so.

32. Hope it's not "Roxanne"
Since that's the one most people will be expecting, I'm hoping they play something else just to be contrarian. "Spirits in the Material World" and "Rehumanize Yourself" would be good picks, but "Murder by Numbers" would be more than appropriate, what with Commander Cuckobananas in the White House, especially this verse:

But you can reach the top of your profession
If you become the leader of the land
For murder is the sport of the elected
And you dont need to lift a finger of your hand
