I'm reading Cosmo, ask me anything
pertinent topics may include:

"The Sex He'll Die For: foreplay ideas almost too risque to share"
"Turn Your Man into a YOU-pleasing machine"
"A Dirty Little Secret You Never Hear About Marriage"
"Caught With Their Pants Down: Hilarious Tales of Daring Couples Who Got Nailed Getting Naughty"
"Love Lies Guys Tell"...

and so on and so forth.

3. *thumbs through the index
crap, it's completely boring:

"...many of these women are finding out that there's a flip-side to what's supposed to be the happiest time in their lives. Dubbed the post-I-Do blues, it happens when a bride gets so caught up in planning her nuptials, she feels an emptiness once all the celebrating stops."

They go on to call it a legitimate 'depression' and quote som psychiatrists.

5. Britney has a new fragrance.
No, it is not called "Vagina".

She looks good in the ad, yes. My favorite parts are the ones where people talk about embarassing things that happened to them when they were having sex.

4. The first question that comes to mind is "why"?
From what I've seen of Cosmo it seems like their target audience is vain, shallow, vapid, obsessed with sex and marriage, and more or less the embodiment of every negative female stereotype feminism's been trying to dispel for going on forty years...(but then most of the other "women's magazines" don't seem to be too much better).

12. it's not day-of-the-week specific, but yes:
Strategy 5: Improve on a Classic (This is from the article "The Sex He'll Die For")
"You may think hand action is so high school..and it is, which is why it can be such an exciting addition to your erotic repertoire. Guys hardly ever get it anymore, so it feels new, says Fulbright. Plus it mentally brings them back to those crazy-horny after-school hookups, when manual stimulation was the main event. The trick is making below-the-belt rubs more sophisticated." (can go no further, TMI)

maybe if I'd read this earlier in the weekend I wouldn't be so sore. :)

I read it when I go to the hair salon. And, I've never learned anything new. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

16. yes, I just did
in the "improve on a classic" section. Nothing I can post here though, lol. It ends with "This tactic hits more pleasure receptors, giving him two sizzling sensations at once." Interesting.

17. this one is tripping me out totally
Under "Lies to spark your interest":

"Once I feel out a girl's personality, I'll purposely state a wrong fact so she can correct me. That way, she gets an ego boost, while I look impressed. The trick is seeming cutely informed, not idiotic."

Holy mother of Christ, men are playing dumb to get women now. Wow. Wonder how long before they start getting boob jobs?

:wtf:

21. I think calf implants are particularly common with men,
but we can get pecs, biceps, chins, you name it. There isn't much women can do, from surgery to playing dumb, that men haven't picked up.

That guy in the example sounds like kind of a dick - if he wants a woman to feel good about knowing something he doesn't, why doesn't he just talk about something that is her area of expertise? Does he deliberately date women who know less than him, or does he assume that there isn't anything a woman knows that he doesn't?

It is nice to know that men are trying to boost a woman's ego in another way besides commenting on her appearance though.
