Poll question: Just who is Bob Newhart always talking to on the phone?

People always complain these days about rude cell phone users. But every time I see Bob Newhart on TV he's always talking on the phone and completely ignoring us, his audience. Just who does he have on that's so important that it has to interrupt the show?

President Muffley?

Neo?

Drew Barrymore?

Lamda Kappa Tau?

Maxwell Smart?

Lady of the house, Bucket residence?

2. I have no idea, but isn't that gag kind of what he's known for?
 at least that's what I thought. He's always done bits like that in his comedy. It's like his signature gag or something.

:hi:

7. He did a great one in a WW2 movie
cant remember the name of it...

A unit on the front lines in Germany finds out that their radio room has been bugged by the Germans. So they put Bob Newhart's character in there making fake phone calls back to HQ.
"No, please stop sending more soldiers. We have 5 to a foxhole as it is."
"Well, I hear theres a war going on in the Pacific, maybe you could sent them there?"
