Need some good vibes-having knee surgery tomorrow

Having knee surgery for a torn meniscus tomorrow. Never had a surgery before. Shouldn't be that big of a deal. Good vibes would be appreciated.

Surgery is nothing... it's the post surgical recovery that matters. Don't do ANYthing your doctor tells you not to do, and you'll be okay. Good luck!

Arthroscopic, I assume? I stayed awake for my second one - it really is a pretty routine surgery. Follow your doc's instructions and do the physical therapy - depending on the size of the tear, you'll be amazed how soon you're back to 100%.

I had it done on both knees a few years apart. Surgery is a breeze. Do exactly what your doctor tells you to do. I had to wear a leg brace for eight weeks (that was the hard part). Do all of the physical therapy and you will be fine. Bending my leg at the knee to a specified degree often brought tears to my eyes, but it worked. Me and my knees are doing great.

9. Thanks to all my friends

Just got back, everything went great. Had 3 tears, that were cut out. Will have to have 6-8 weeks of therapy. Thanks again, you can always count on friends from DU. The bad news was the` RN who gave me the catheter was a Repugnant who voted for Bush twice. I was asking everyone their political views. The RN was against the war and wasn't happy about her decision on voting. Didn't want to get in a big argument since she was about to stick me.
