How do I break my cat of trying to play with electrical cords?
Specifically those that are plugged into the wall. She likes to try to tear them out of the outlet with her teeth.

1. I once had a cat named Spark who used to chew on wires.
I can't tell you how many headsets we had to replace b/c of that damn cat. :D We tried to be hyper-vigilant about making sure the wires were out of her space, if we forgot, then we'd be bummed cuz she'd find 'em. One time I saw her trying to chew on one of our computer wires, a big thick one. I was seriously concerned Spark would get electrocuted/sparked to death.

Alas, what got her was a speeding car in our neighborhood....7 wks ago tomorrow, in fact. We still miss her, especially her sister Flame.

Good luck with your kitty. :hi:

3. bitter apple?
they sell it in pet stores, it doesn't taste good and you can spray it on stuff that you are having trouble keeping them from chewing on.

5. There are bitter sprays that
you can buy at pet stores to spray your electrical cords with. I have to use it to keep Miss Kitty from chewing every wire in the house.
