Wassup in Beantown?

I'm going to be spending a night in Boston very soon, and haven't really been there before. (Driven through a couple of times is all.) I know a night is nothing for such a town as Boston, but what's the one thing you'd do, for those of you who know it well (and there seem to be a lot of you)?

I'm thinking, for example, a nice bar: dark, cozy, great beer and scotch selection. The lost gem of Boston! or like that. A place where everybody knows my name? Doesn't have to be. Generally low-key is my thinking, but heck, you know, whatevs!
