Who is your all-time TV crush?
If I had to choose, I'd pick Danica McKellar for her portrayal of Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years.

Before you call me a pervert, I was born in 1976. The show aired from 1988-1993. When they were 12, I was 12. :)

24. I worked on a movie she did in 1997
She hadjust had her son; he was an infant. She had already bounced-back into her perfect figure.

She's tiny, too. Probably 5'0" or so.

She's an awesome person, by the way. Really well-grounded.

14. Easy one...
I'll probably have to say George Clooney's character "Dr. Doug Ross" on ER starting in 1994. I was 10 years old at the time and have been in love with him ever since (despite him being old enough to be my father) but I definitely discovered I was a heterosexual woman once he was on the TV...YOWZA!!!!

My first TV crush was on Jason Priestly's character on 90210 but that's rather embarrassing so I'd rather not talk about that one

I look back at it now as an adult and think it was pure crap...but as a young girl, it was the first time I ever got a special feeling about a member of the opposite sex, so I guess it will always have a place in my heart in the same way my mom had her first crush on Shaun Cassidy or Bobby Sherman

When the studio was in development on the series, they said they wanted a character who would attract male viewers. Someone with "M-appeal".

after Mrs. Peel, but I totally lost interest with no Emma.

I didn't get what you meant about "Purdy". It finally sank in. Bonanza was popular then, maybe someone thought of Hoss talking about Miss Millie, "she shore is purdy". Emma Peel shore was.

37. That would be someone I first saw also on
"The Wonder Years" — Carla Gugino. She was in one episode as a girl who was dating both Kevin and Wayne, and I fell instantly in love with her.

Later, she was Michael J. Fox's reporter girlfriend in the first season of "Spin City." Then she got into movies — one of which was actually really good: "Jaded," in which she plays a woman who was raped by two other women.

I still think she's one of the most beautiful women on the planet.

61. I was always in love with someone or another
from TV throughout my life--most of the time they were older men.

I guess one of my biggest crushes was Napoleon Solo. However, it was Rod Taylor in various roles who I eventually stayed with.

But like many others in my generation, there were tons of others:

Mark Lindsay (Paul Revere and the Raiders)
David Hedison (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea)
Robert Culp (I Spy)
Stuart Damon (LONG before his General Hospital days!)
Robert Wagner (It Takes a Thief)
Robert Conrad (Wild Wild West)

Lots more over time. I never really went for the younger ones in my age range--too childish and immature.

I remember watching that on TV when I was pretty young.

(And also count me as someone who had wild crushes on both Robert Wagner and Robert Conrad, and, come to think of it, yet another Robert - Robert Urich as Dan Tanna)

71. Josh Bernstein, mmm...
Host of the History Channel's Digging for the Truth. He's not just a pretty face, either, though his face sure is damn pretty.

Wikipedia says: Bernstein was born and raised in Manhattan and attended the highly prestigious Horace Mann School. He went to Cornell University, where he double majored in Anthropology and Psychology and served two terms as president of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

After graduating college, he spent a year in a post-graduate program in Jerusalem studying, among other things, mysticism and ancient texts.

In addition to his role as host of Digging for the Truth, Bernstein is the president and CEO of BOSS, the Boulder Outdoor Survival School, the oldest and largest survival school in the world.

Bernstein has been featured in the premiere issue of Men’s Vogue magazine, the style section of The New York Times and dozens of adventure travel magazines. Josh is also a member of The Explorers Club, a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and a professional photographer, with published credits in USA Today, Sports Illustrated, Forbes, Men's Health Magazine, Self, Marie Claire, Men's Fitness, Outside, and Backpacker magazines.

He revealed in one episode of Digging for the Truth that he used to be a competitive archer.

Zing!!!

Jon Stewart had him on a couple of months ago.

But yeah, I was way ahead of everyone else in crushing on Alba. Not even Dark Angel (show was too shitty for me to watch in addition to going against a show I liked) I even dug her when she was on Alex Mack and maybe even a couple times I cought Flipper.

1. Boy, I loved me some "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century". Erin Gray and Pamela Hensley. Never could figure out why either one of them went for Gil Gerard.

2. Dallas. Victoria Principal. Charlene Tilton. Audrey Landers. Priscilla Presley. Morgan Brittany. Mary Crosby. Lois Chiles (you may remember as the Bond girl in "Moonraker"). I couldn't tell you a damn thing about the plots. And they weren't 90-pounds-soaking-wet anorexic, either!

I think, however, the most white-hot crush I ever had was another Bond girl, Carole Bouquet:

Before you call me a pervert, I was born in 1976. The show aired from 1988-1993. When they were 12, I was 12.

In my case, it was somewhat different. The characters in that series were the same age I was at the time the action was supposed to be taking place. So, no, I didn't have a crush on Danica McKellar. But, I would say that, if there had been a real-life Winnie Cooper in my school during those years, I would almost certainly would have had an intense (and probably unrequited :-( ) crush on her.

In terms of adult crushes -- Jan Smithers (Bailey Quarters on WKRP in Cincinnati). As God is my witness, I will never understand what people saw in Loni Anderson...

142. There were several starting with Captain Adam Troy
Edited on Mon Mar-12-07 10:39 PM by Perragrande
The first one was Gardner McKay on the show Adventures in Paradise:

This would have been 1960-62 or so. I was about five or six years old. Good taste in men for such a young'un, I had, eh??

And Richard Chamberlain as Dr. Kildare. Long before he was the king of the mini-series.

Then it was Mike Nesmith & Davy Jones of the Monkees. I was prime teenybopper age then.

Pierce Brosnan in Remington Steele in the 80s. If the man had a personality, with his looks, he'd be deadly.

Stacy Keach was cool as Mike Hammer at that time too. The cool factor increased because their theme song was "Harlem Nocturne".

Then David Duchovny in X-Files. Who has brains and personality too.

Now, I can't think of any guy on sitcom or dramatic TV who rings my chimes. I don't think James Spader is cute anymore. However, my grown kid has good taste since she likes Ashton Kutcher on That 70s Show. I told her that show looks like a flashback to my college days. I even have one of those big round orange plastic swag lamps!!! I remember the Sears catalog--red orange or blue green-two color choices.

Now it would have to be Olbermann and Colbert!! And I don't have cable!!! Gotta watch them on the Nets. I love those serious, brilliant nerdy guys. Loved 'em back when computers were as big as a room.

147. Ah yes, I forgot about Shari and Lambchop.
She was a definite hottie.

I would've had a better chance with her because I was closer to her age. I was 7.
